Streetworx is a youth charity devoted to helping a risk and disadvantaged youth who believe that they cannot go anywhere in life and that they must resort to using methods that society deems unacceptable. Although sometimes people can tarnish who we are, it takes an extraordinary person to rise above to dream, believe, achieve.

At Streetworx we believe all children have the right to a healthy and safe childhood and hope through our services and programs to provide them with the opportunity to develop and reach their full potential.
There are many young people within our community living on the streets, struggling with everyday issues and suffering life threatening illnesses. Streetworx is a charity that not only provides funding for those less fortunate in the past, but aims to provide programs that will assist the high risk kids and those in need to gain the skills to understand the importance of education and life skills through tools such as sport, music and dance. Streetworx has run the biggest and most successful golf program “Golfworx” for at risk and disadvantaged youth. The funds raised from the Skins Challenge will help Streetworx build a Dream Centre for at risk and disadvantaged youth around Australia.
Through the Streetworx Dream Centre we will house 50 at risk and disadvantaged youth from the ages of 11-18, and with the care and expertise of our team we can implement change and support on a larger more effective scale. It is important to realise that youth situations and circumstances do not stop but is a continuous battle and being there for them every second of the day will ensure that when they struggle there is a helping hand to pick them up. By having a Dream Centre we believe that we can take at risk youth off the streets and make the communities safer but instilling education, discipline and a desire to dream and a willingness to believe in themselves. With nurture and care we can watch youth grow into the next generation’s leaders instead of the next homeless person or convicted criminal.
Our vision for the Dream Centre is to have a fun, safe environment for youth where they can call home and they can take the right steps in turning their lives around.

Streetworx helping kids to DREAM, BELIEVE, ACHIEVE.
The first “Making the Cut” four day programme was held in 2007 with amazing results. NSW Police from Parramatta PCYC said “Kids came to the program without goals or dreams. Through “Making the Cut” Golfworx Programme held both on and off the course, we say these kids develop trust, discipline, respect for others and self, self esteem, forgiveness, healthy lifestyle, team work and unity. The kids left the program with a dream, belief and confidence to achieve. The feedback from one of the young participants in the program when a Police Officer caddied for him “Last year you were trying to put me in jail and this week you are carrying my bag”.
The 2008 Golfworx program was tailored about the 2007 programme with an emphasis on other sports, mentoring and golf. Streetworx program catered for 90 at risk or disadvantaged youth on a weekly basis every Tuesday and Georges River Golf Course. Youth learnt the essence of setting goals and creating an action plan to achieve those goals. Through help of celebrities such as Vic Lorusso, James Mathison, Parramatta Eels and Socceroos Players, youth were inspired to go beyond their current situations and totally change their life with the support of the Streetworx Team behind them.
